Garland fun day |
Work days are scheduled at Camp Garland, Eagle’s Nest Campsite, for Saturday, May 10.
If you didn’t come out the first weekend then this is your chance to help out.
We have already replaced a lot of wood on the shelter, made camp fire rings, fixed the flag pole, set post for the camp sign, cleaned up a lot.
This time we will be painting and working on the cabinets.
This is service hours and a lot of fun.
Bring work clothes and a smile.
Lunch will be provided.
We will assemble at CUMC at 7:45am and be back at the CUMC no later than 6pm.
This Troop 8 Service Project is part of the “Adopt a Campsite” program.
Permission slips and an informational flyer are available in the forms section of the Troop 8 website. www.troop8.com
Please contact Jim Healy so he can get a head count

| About The Troop |
For those of you who don't know us, we meet every Monday night from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. We meet at Christ United Methodist Church
at 35th and Harvard. Troop 8 meets on the second floor of the youth wing, directly to the east of the gymnasium. Enter at the doors near the southeast corner of the church, and go up the stairs. There are no troop meetings on Mondays after a campout. That is the night for PLC and Troop Committee meetings.
Troop 8 currently has about 70 scouts. We were originally chartered in 1997 and already have 26 Eagle scouts and several Life scouts working toward their Eagle rank.
