Pop Corn Kick Off |

It’s PPPPPPOPCORN TIME!
It’s time to pick up your popcorn forms and start selling to earn great prizes and funds for your personal scouting accounts!
Because of the holiday weekend and not having a regular Scout meeting Monday night, we don’t want to wait an extra week to start selling. So, Scouts and parents are invited for a quick meeting Tuesday evening so we don’t lose precious “selling time!”
Tuesday’s meeting will be short. You can pick up your forms, find out about the important changes to the popcorn fundraiser and get a head-start on selling before other Scouting groups. And, this year, the popcorn program is changing! There are new items, much healthier items, different packaging, and a LOT more product for the price. So selling will be much easier! There are great prizes, including a chance to win a trip to Disneyland! DON’T FORGET: You earn 35% of everything you sell for your own Scouting account. You can even earn money for college scholarships. So, join us Tuesday to get all the details.
Troop 8 GOAL: Each Scout to sell at least $350.
You’ll earn money for your Scouting account and be a great representative of Troop 8 in the community – both important factors in keeping our Scouting program strong!

| About The Troop |
For those of you who don't know us, we meet every Monday night from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. We meet at Christ United Methodist Church
at 35th and Harvard. Troop 8 meets in the basement of the church, beneath the sanctuary. Enter at the doors on the east or west side of the church, and go down the stairs next to the sanctuary entrance. There are no troop meetings on Mondays after a campout. That is the night for PLC and Troop Committee meetings.
Troop 8 currently has about 60 scouts. We were originally chartered in 1997 and already have 49 Eagle scouts and several Life scouts working toward their Eagle rank.
